Are the wheels in motion?

I know air soft is still illegal, but where EXACTLY do we stand?
We got a new female prime minister now, will this affect our cause to get airsoft legalized in anyway?
Are there any votes or ANYTHING coming up soon that could potentially work in our favor?
If I was to ask, WHEN could I go to the shops and buy an airsoft in Australia, what would you tell me?

I need to know SOMETHING will happen soon.

I am 18 (19 very soon) and have wanted both, a paintball marker, and an air rifle since I was about 11 years old!
I am really becoming impatient with this, and think it is complete bullsh*t that it is illegal!

(sorry if it seems like I am having a little outburst, but the whole topic of it being illegal really frustrates me!)

Yes we are working on doing hard and fast work to do our best. I hope that our new prime minister will make a positive effect on our plee for our right of ownership of this wonderful sport. Myself i have contacted the Prime Minister via email which probly went through everyone else except him but anyways that's been forwarded to some respective members of parliment and the Attorneys-General's Department, which i then received another letter informing me to contact my state government with this issue for it lays in the State Level Responsibility or Firearms. So you see that we are trying.

It is almost 2011 is their any light at the end of the tunnel yet seriously do we have anything yet on the bases of making airsoft and BB guns legal again ? please any info will be great just to get our hopes up and im planning on telling everyone about this websitee posting on my facebook ! please reply soon : D
