For those who were involved with the previous forum, you will know we decided to change forums partly because of the fact the mods/admins had abandoned the website. Well I just received an message from the owner/admin of the forum.

    He stated in his message

"I am in the process of launching a new website, and also send the first mailout/newsletter to registered users."

He also made some excellent points

"In a nutshell, Airsoft to this day has been pushed as Military Simulation style warfare inclusive of replica style weapons that are not permitted in this country. The Government, Police Association, SSAA and Gun lobbyists do not want a bar of this.

The campaign needs to be taken practically back to its origins. We have asked for too much, too quickly and they are laughing at our proposals.

The idea is to bring in Practical Shooting type fields.missions with Airsoft Firearms that replicate anything currently available as registered firearms licence holder (ie Category A,B and H - bolt action, pump action and lever action). We need to scrap the Milsim style warfare altogether."

    So gentlemen. Thoughts?

Yup. That is diffinatly another approach to it all! The milsim thing i agree with. In the Australian Army Cadets, they are fully against the poromotion of child warfare, or warefare of any kind even if the person is over 18 unless in the actuall defence force. aka the Jeneva Convention.

But its nice to know that they are back! They could of told me a bit sooner before i posted that video...

this is ridiculous. are they trying to get us using airsoft in the range or sth??? i seriously dun see the point why they restrict milsim to this extend.
man, i m now so into this campaign but i don't hv any ideas of how to get it legalised.

I just sent through a letter to my local minster for my district, Steven Ciobo, I didn't think It could hurt to mention about our group and directed him to the www.milsimaustralia.com website and the proposal listed on it, and to ask him his stance, or thoughts on it. didn't think it would hurt as he is currently my districts elected representative to the government.

    Cheers
