Yeah, we had some people try and get some import some fully deativated AEGs (with full paperwork saying they were deativated etc) a couple of years ago, but they had no luck. The AEGs weren't allowed past customs.

I know a stupid bloke at my school who brought an airsoft gun straight through customs from Hong Kong with each separate piece in each of his families bags and got through. Not really related to a deactivated Airsoft gun, but still, it's illigal, so best just to wait untill we get the big OK from the good old Government officials or you could face a nice fine/jail sentence Smile

To the Government, anything that even slightly resembles a Firearm of any type (even if it is de-activated/replica) is illigal to bring into Australia, let alone own one withought the correct documentation. I saw a bloke that tried to bring a lighter in the shape of a .357 Magmum Pistol on Airport Secruity on the TV once, he got absalutly OWNED when the Customs officers saw it in the X-RAY machines...

No such thing as a dumb question, merely uninformed. If we punish mistakes/dumb questions we lose our ability to think creatively. Enough philosophy for the moment.

As for buying a broken airsoft weapon. Not worth it.

If you get caught at the moment without airsoft being legal. Just remember:

    DONT DROP THE SOAP

Very valid point. On here you can ask any question you want, as long as it is within the right contexts (no swearing, sexual innuendo etc.). We are all nice people and are here to help!

And yes, i would recommend liquid soap...
