a salem mask huh???? that's so cool. was thinking to get one but it costs a fair bit. instead of the salem mask, i am thinking to get a russian tank helmet (just like the one in metal gear solid)

i wanted to look for airsoft rifle when i was living in england.
travelled across 2 counties n only found a uzi n some random pistols in plymouth. just can't believe airsoft is getting big in england.

I would definately like to make up a few different "Costume Kits" so that I could adapt to different styles of enviroment and roles if it is a themed match. For example I would want to do up an Aussie SASR or Commando style kit with an M4A5 or SR-25 for primary and USP.45 as secondary. I do have plenty of spending money just ready and waiting to buy those airsoft replicas the moment that it all becomes legal down under!

The SASR kit should be pretty obvious. There are dozens of photos of those dudes in the field that are freely available these days (if you don't have one I can share a few). Modern issue DPCU and DPDU uniforms with no patches or badges outside of the Australian flag paired up with a load bearing vest or chest rig and one of those neck warmers or shemagh to hide your face. (I am not really big on quoting brand names of kit which just counts as free advertising)

i just did some research on the sas kit. everything will be around 150-200AUD including a S10 respirator, balaclava, goggles n genuine sf coverall.

Here is a good question...

What would you prefer to spend your money on for airsoft kit:
A. Buying those cheap nasty copies that are easier on the wallet but don't last long.
OR
B. Saving up HEAPS and buying real milspec kit from a disposals shop or internet that will last ages.

i wld go for the genuine kit becoz it is long lasting but i wldn't mind to use replicas tho.
thank god i didn't pay for my first kit as i kept my DPM after i graduated from the cadet force.
anyway, wt will u go for?

I would totally agree with you there mate. Save up and spend the money on quality kit so that it lasts for years playing airsoft a few times a month.

The last SORD Old School rig I brought cost me $550AU and that was including postage.

omfg. it is a bit expensive but as long as u like it, it is worthy.
think abt those ppl who bought the airsoft minigun which costs just as much as a bloody car.
