A tac vest of some kind- I would recommend MOLLE, like this and this. Plus some mag pouches, a radio pouch, and some hydration is also very important. Or try this if you want some storage space too.

Theres some free advertising for Platatac there lol at least they are a legit company that supplies the real military as well as selling to the public. They also make some decent load bearing vests of the fixed variety that don't cost the earth which should appeal to an airsofter.

Don't buy anything tomorrow- Airsoft isn't going to be legalised anytime in the very near future, so you have plenty of time to see what is out there, weigh up your options, and save up for some good gear rather than just rushing out and getting what you can because you are super-excited about Airsoft.

Not a problem at all, I was just giving some advice. Just remember- the mag pouches you use for Airsoft will almost certainly be different sizes to the ones you use for Paintball.

i would suggest a web site www.airsoft-club.com if you wanted some cheaper airsoft gear (not guns) they're vests aren't full military quality but does the job. i got a CQB tac vest from them with full neck protection and groin protection for around $25, and it handled a full bushball game.
